Jade Wagner

For Jade Wagner, art and healing are inextricably linked. Her passion for art began in high school when she started a lifelong journey to master the artistic process. A natural energy healer, she uses her art creations to help others to embark on their own healing journey. She creates works of beauty, inviting viewers to explore and connect with their own inner space where they experience their unique sense of peace and grace within. She studied sculpting in New York City in the 70s and oil painting in Seattle in the 80s. She was inspired by art teacher Yoshiko Fujita after moving to Maui to paint portraits, of which one was sold in Japan. She continued to seek out artists she admires to learn from them to include Josef Albers color theory. She also experimented with different mediums to give herself more options of expression such as tri-hue water and glass blowing. The most fun was her series of whimsical, one of a kind plywood cut out dinosaurs which became a childrens favorite. They were represented by Jovian Gallery on Maui in the 90s and are in collectors homes worldwide. She was a selected artist in the 2017 juried show at Hui Noeau Visual Arts Center Kaluanui Centennial 10x10 Exhibition. In her earlier years, Jade focused on learning the rules of art creation. Her work took a pivotal change after a soulful painting workshop when she experienced the process of blending her healing gift with her art expression. Her style became more abstract and on a larger scale. She envisions her artwork in beautiful homes and nurturing facilities. Jade has been most influenced by celebrated artists including Gustav Klimt, Friedensreich Hundertwasser, John Singer Sargent, Tadashi Sato, Dale Chihuly and Lazure painter Robert Logsdon. She loves chamber and Baroque music, good movies, dancing the Blues and Argentine Tango, playing golf, scrumptious Chinese food, reading page turners, stage and improvisational acting, wind-up toys, fancy hats and costume parties. She looks forward to painting full time soon. There's a world of sensation out there and Jade wants to experience it all! For more information about Jades healing work, please visit jadewagner.com
